Non-verbal Feedback in Zoom

During a presentation, participants can provide non-verbal feedback without interrupting the flow of the presentation. Participants have the ability to raise their hand, signal yes or no, indicate to go faster or slower, and use emojis. The host has the ability to clear all non-verbal feedback indicators at any time.


Side-by-Side Screen Share and Camera in Zoom

If you are attending a Zoom meeting where someone has shared their screen, you can now click the View Options menu and select Side-by-Side Mode. Once you have selected Side-by-Side Mode, you can click Speaker View or Gallery View at the top of the Zoom window to switch between the two views. You can switch off Side-by-Side Mode by clicking it again in the View Options menu.


Recover a Recently Closed Tab in a Web Browser

Accidentally close a tab? Want to get back to a closed tab? Simply press Ctrl + Shift + T  to reopen closed tabs. When pressed, the most recently closed tab will reopen, when pressed again, the second most recently closed tab will reopen, and so on.


Importing Course Content from Previous Semesters in Sakai

You can copy content easily from one Sakai site to another. Open your new course site and select the Site Info tool, select the Import from Site link across the top, click “I would like to merge my data”, then finish by selecting which sites and which tools you want to copy content from. Using Import from Site, you can copy content from Announcements, Assignments, the Gradebook, Resources, Test & Quizzes, and other tools.
