Congratulations to Mendoza staff member Mike Fletcher who was recently elected Vice President of the Chicago Pediatric Cancer Research Board (CPCRB). Founded in 2017, this volunteer organization supports pediatric oncology research initiatives at the University of Chicago's Comer Children's Hospital. In 2019, the board donated over $45k to Comer for research focused on the development of and screening for second cancers in childhood cancer survivors. 

Christian Hughes, assistant marketing professor, recently won the AMA Marketing Research SIG's 2020 Lehmann award, which recognizes the best dissertation-based article recently published in the Journal of Marketing or Journal of Marketing Research.

Her paper, "Driving Brand Engagement Through Online Social Influencers: An Empirical Investigation of Sponsored Blogging Campaigns," co-authored by Vanitha Swaminathan and Gillian Brooks, was among the top five most cited articles in the Journal of Marketing in the last six months and also among the most downloaded.
