M&O's Dean A. Shepherd's book "Spontaneous venturing: An entrepreneurial approach to alleviating suffering in the aftermath of a disaster"  is a winner of the third annual Award for Responsible Research in Management, co-sponsored by the International Association for Chinese Management Research and the Community for Responsible Research in Management. This award honors high-quality scientific research that addresses critical issues in business and society. The 18 winners, including three Distinguished Winners, eight Winners and seven Finalists, all published within the previous five years in high-quality journals, were selected using a rigorous two-stage review process that included both academics and executives. Each work exemplifies the principles of responsible research
