CONGRATULATIONS TO JAMES NG AND BRANDON GREENAWALT!
Brandon Greenawalt was promoted to Data Science Program Director, where he will manage the resources and budgeting within the group, oversee partnerships with other units on campus, and be responsible for the efficiency of our data science services. Each of the three data scientists still reports to Ken Kelley, but with Brandon doing more of the administration, it will allow Ray Alavo and James Ng to focus more on actual data science activities.
James also was promoted to Senior Data Scientist, where he will focus more heavily on all aspects of data science. This is the first time the College has had a senior data scientist. Since joining Mendoza in May, James has had a profound impact on the types of services we are able to offer.
Together with Letecia McKinney, Behavioral Research Program Director, the data scientists and Letecia make up the Mendoza Research Team. The Mendoza Research Team has become a strategic advantage for the College in recruiting top researchers. Faculty recruits now regularly interact with the Mendoza Research Team and are made aware of the resources they can provide.
