Importance of Data
Tracking and working with data from Faculty and Staff at Mendoza are important activities for decision making and planning by our IT teams. Data collection is helping to answer relevant questions and conduct proper evaluations. We collect and use data responsibly.
These data resources are available for use by Faculty and Staff at Mendoza.
Faculty and Staff Computers
Check the warranty expirations to see if your computer's warranty is expiring in 2024. Search by department for your computer name to find the warranty expiration date.
Wondering how much a new computer or equipment costs? Check the price of desktops, laptops, monitors, and docking stations. Find out more about the CWP and what costs it covers.
Want a general overview of computers that have been purchased? Review the past four years of purchasing and filter based on device form factor, faculty or staff devices, funding source, and operating system.
Google Groups
In collaboration with the Dean's office and OIT, Mendoza IT gathered data from various sources, compared, and found the best source of truth for user affiliation and emails. With this information, we then realigned our Google Groups to match. Exploring these newly organized groups is easy: you can see these new Google Groups in a visual tree view or a detailed list.
Remark
After thorough assessment and careful deliberation, we're embarking on a significant transition: bidding farewell to the Scantron system and embracing the cutting-edge Remark OMR exam processing system. This transition will be completed by the end of the academic year, with the new system fully operational by summer 2024.
The decision to move away from Scantron was driven by several factors, including the obsolescence of our current system and software, as well as the substantial replacement costs involved. Remark offers a modern solution with significantly lower operational costs, all while maintaining robust features and functionalities.
